Iaorana tatou! Felicitations to Jacob and Emily for their engagement! We had a good week, starting with an interesting trip to the motu last Monday. (motus are the little islets around the big islands) A member from one of other wards took our district on their boat out to the motu. The water was of course ridiculously clear turquoise. Well actually at first it's deep blue and then when you get out far enough it turns randomly turquoise. Something about the reef and sandbars I think. We explored the motu, found the coolest tiniest little hermit crabs. We...

Iaorana tatou! P got baptized on Friday! It's been such a blessing to see the changes he's made these past weeks. I still remember one of the first times we invited him to be baptized - he explained that he didn't want to change religion because God doesn't change, and he was baptized Protestant anyway. And when we explained about Priesthood authority, he said that men are imperfect and aren't worthy to hold the Priesthood. Well, yesterday P received the Aaronic Priesthood, as well as the Gift of the Holy Ghost. As it turns out, he had read...

Iaorana tatou! Hope you all had a great week! We're doing just fine here in Uturoa, and what's more, we have a baptism this Friday! On our way to our lesson with P last Tuesday, we stopped by Frère A's house (P's cousin) to 'introduce my new companion' but really more to subtly mention that we were going to see P and ask if he could come too. The plan worked, and I'm glad it did because Frère A is a sneaky genius! P had never directly said yes when we asked him about baptism, maybe he had...

Iaorana tatou! I have a daughter! (And a new brother, congrats Mr. and Mrs. Shake! And happy birthday Ky!) Soeur K flew back to Tahiti on Wednesday, and I met my new companion and trainee, Soeur M! She's from Tahiti, and she's awesome. She came ready to work hard, which is the best thing about new missionaries. Sorry I haven't got much time left to write this week (My fault, spent too much time looking at wedding photos) but we had a good week! Papi T, who we thought would never progress, said he didn't have a Book...

Iaorana tatou! We had a great week this week, and as it turns out, it was my last week with Soeur K! She is heading back to the 'mainland' on Wednesday, and I'm going to be a maman! Haha in other words, I'm training a new sister. I don't know who she is yet, but my first 'daughter' or trainee will arrive in Raiatea on Wednesday as well. I'll miss Soeur K, my Maori kiwi, so much! But I'm also excited for new opportunities to learn as I teach a new missionary. In other news, Soeur K will...
